    We are headed back to TRJ for Camporee!!! This will be an awesome campout filled with a ton of adventures that we can get all in one place! We need to get a good headcount early so we can reserve a campsite and register for the event. If you are wanting to go please sign up!

  • March Campout 2026

    We will be working on our Fishing Merit Badge

    We have a great opportunity for our own Fishing Merit Badge Workshop! Our ASM and Merit Badge Councilor Chris Larue will be teaching for this campout. He has a wealth of knowledge and a love for the sport. This will be fun for all ages as there is no fishing license required. We will be fishing in the Stocked and Managed lakes at Trevor Reese-Jones Scout Ranch. This will be a relaxing Campout so come on out relax and enjoy being in nature.

    The annual Troop 1776 mulch sale starts Now!

    Our mulch comes from JEMASCO in Paris Texas. We sell four kinds of mulch: Hardwood, red dyed hardwood, black dyed hardwood, and cedar. We sell full pallets of mulch (60 bags) at a 10% discount.

    Boy Scouts of America Troop 1776 is comprised of scouts from the cities of Plano, Richardson, Murphy, Wylie, Garland, Allen, Lucas, and Dallas. A high adventure and jamboree troop with over 100 Eagle scouts since 1993, raising funds is critical to achieving the ongoing mission of the Troop! Thank you for supporting Scouting and Troop 1776!

  • February 2026 Campout

    We are headed to the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center for the weekend. This will be an awesome event where we will have a guided hike, conservation project and a Live Raptor Program. We will get to see and learn more about our native raptors and get a jump start on the Bird Study Merit Badge. We will be staying in the Red Tailed Hawk camping area. We have spots for 30-35 people so don’t miss out on this campout! Drive time will be minimal so that is awesome!

  • Winter Camp Jan 16-19th 2026

    Troop 1776 has a proud tradition of offering high quality merit badge classes and counseling at its annual Winter Camp.  This year we will offer 16 merit badges.  We will have four merit badge sessions with four merit badge options during each session over Saturday and Sunday.  Scouts sleep in cabins and adults do the cooking.  Scouts may bring video games/TVs for this campout as well as cards/boardgames for their free time
